British Columbia question: what are some favorite things to do in Vancouver and Victoria?

1. Walk in the forest. East Sooke Park, Thetis Lake, Gowland Tod and Mount Work are some of my frequent haunts. Get a trail map app on your phone and find some of the less traveled trails
2. Witty's Lagoon has an amazing beach. Go in the summer when the tide has just come in and the water is great for swimming.
3. Walk along the shoreline from Beacon Hill Park to James Bay.
4. Fish and Chips takeout from Fisherman's Warf
@dillyd I used to live in Vancouver, and when I go back I like to:
1. Visit my old Commercial Drive neighbourhood. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants.
2. Granville Island Public Market. I've never met its like.
3. See what new craft breweries have popped up in the Clark Dr. /Powell St. area
4. Ice cream from Casa Gelato. They have flavours you would never have considered possible.
5. Picnic at the top of Burnaby Mountain. Amazing views of downtown and Burrard inlet.
