@igb well, the Social Web devroom is open to everyone at FOSDEM. Jack Dorsey has spent a lot of time in the last few years trash-talking ActivityPub and promoting proprietary non-standard protocols like Bluesky and Nostr. I think it would be great to have him come see the presentations about Open Source software developed for the Fediverse.
@evan look, Jack isn’t going to be convinced by any presentations. He is a selfish fool, and the Fediverse and the open source community is better served by not legitimizing or platforming his opinions.
@igb You're probably right. I thought it was a little sassy to invite him to come see talks about all the great things happening in the Fediverse, but I don't seriously expect him to attend.
