On a post that has absolutely NOTHING to do with this, two people have been arguing in my comments for three days about whether spreadsheets are databases. The thread is now almost 50 comments.

@mike @cfiesler my colleague at work, our director of ops, showed me a spreadsheet today that was a map of his garden! He had 1 cell for every square foot of space. Different colours for different plants and features, and even rays tracing the sun and shadows at different times of day. It was a masterpiece.
