Should it be legal for foreign owners to operate media companies in your country?

It's basically only the fediverse on the no side.
@leomas I don't think that's true. I think France, Spain, Austria, Poland, and others have laws about non-EU countries having controlling ownership of media companies. So, at least somebody in government is on the no side.

The proportion of people consuming media (except sports) from locally owned companies seems to be decreasing pretty fast though.
Ads on TV reflect that as well, it's mostly medication for the elderly
