@evan that object has not been published to the collection website yet / despite some perfectly reasonable “wait, but if…” questions / it does suggest that it should be possible to make a web finger-style query to an accession number though
@evan we also haven’t automated AP account creation when an object is published yet / all the AP stuff has been left to “bake” for a while to see how it holds up and to make room for other things / but I hope to spend some more time with it soon
@thisisaaronland It would be cool if I could use one of those identification numbers at the bottom of the plaque for the ID, though. Are the ones used by the collection just incremental or something?

@evan I have a long-standing argument that everything which is wrong in museums starts with wall labels / accession numbers are a thing we (individually and collectively) are stuck with for the time being so I will work to make them more-better-resolvable / the long-and-I-mean-long reasoning behind the numeric IDs has to do with making everything else that orbits an object also resolvable with stable, permanent and unique identifiers – https://www.aaronland.info/weblog/2012/12/01/coffee-and-wifi/#timepixels
