Just starting to wrap my head around the Fediverse and ActivityPub (and I like what I'm learning and discovering), but now here comes Nostr. For a regular user who has no deep technical knowledge, I can only hope they're interoperable. I think people will reach the fatigue of constantly setting up shop on every new technology that comes up.

To me the ultimate interoperability is if we could move around with our content (not just the follow lists). That kind of portability and freedom. Is that even possible? Too much to ask?

@josephbautista they are kind of interoperable. There are a few bridges so people from nostr can follow people on AP and vice versa. It's nice!

@evan Thanks for the feedback! Another thing (bridges) for me to explore. :)

@josephbautista @evan the most popular Nostr bridges are Mostr.pub and momostr.pink

Both of them that I know of, allow for use of a lightning wallet just like Nostr proper, if you add it to your bio like I have done on my profile, it's pretty neat!

@BeAware @josephbautista @evan is there something worth checking out from nostr though?

@evan @kariboka @BeAware @npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240

Based on my observation so far, it tends to attract very "enterprising" people who are into the "creator economy". I think it's because of the "bitcoin" component of it. It makes it easier to tip people for their work- which is quite nice and reasonable.

@evan @BeAware @josephbautista @npub1wmr34t36fy03m8hvgl96zl3znndyzyaqhwmwdtshwmtkg03fetaqhjg240 I had to change client because this @ was crashing it.

Anyway what’s his account about? And why not using AP instead?

Nostr is developed by a fascist from my country.
